The public is now learning about the Boy Scouts’ “perversion” files, which were first obtained almost twenty years ago. These files show BSA knew that sexual predators were using the Boy Scouts to abuse children.
Despite that knowledge, BSA failed to take adequate steps to change its policies until the mid-1980s.
So far, the Boy Scouts’ internal records have identified nearly 8,000 volunteers who were possible sex abusers, and nearly 12,500 victims of abuse. Many believe the actual number of abused Scouts may be substantially higher.
If you or someone you love was sexually abused by a Boy Scout leader or volunteer with the BSA, contact us to learn your options and to receive the compensation you deserve.
